Veterinarians:
- Licensed in PA
- Must provide license number
- Prefer well versed in high volume spay/neuter
- Must be willing to perform cat neuters in prep area, if surgery suites are being used
Vet Techs:
- Proof of CVT not required
- Must be willing to do the following:
- Washing/wrapping/sterilizing surgical packs
- Help keep surgery areas clean/stocked
- Cleaning traps
- Transporting traps throughout process (intake/recovery/discharge)
- Discharge patients/discuss post surgical instructions with clients
- Monitoring pre-op and during recovery
- Drawing up vaccine/giving ear tips/shaving surgical sites
- Cleaning out traps while the cats are getting surgery
- Our tech staff will be doing all drug calculations/induction/prepping/monitoring, volunteers will just be needed as medical support staff.
Shifts Needed for Vets:
- 6 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
- 10 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.
Shifts for vet techs:
- 6 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
- 10 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.
We also need an additional morning shift to help with discharge of the overnight patients, as well as recovery of the overnight patients/clean up/stocking. This is a shorter shift that would be from 5:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
