Take a walk on the wild side at the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center at Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh for a hands-on experience and behind the scenes look at what it takes to rehabilitation PA wildlife in need!

Have you ever wanted to explore a career working with animals or helping protect wildlife? Then this event is for you! Talk a walk on the wild side at Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh’s Wildlife Rehabilitation Center to learn all about the fascinating world of Wildlife Rehabilitation.

During this program, we will take a tour of the outside portions of our facility, which specializes in caring for sick, injured and orphaned native PA wildlife. Our fully licensed wildlife facility admits more than 4,000 animals of over 130 unique species annually, with the goal of releasing them back out into the wild.

This event will also include a visit from an animal ambassador and a rehabilitation-themed hands-on activity.

Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh (HARP) is one of PA’s largest non-profit organizations dedicated to the welfare of animals, pet owners, and the community through both our domestic shelter and wildlife center locations. The Humane and Wildlife Education Department will facilitate this event. The department aims to be a resource for the community by providing interactive and accessible programming, with the goal of inspiring and preparing the next generation of environmental stewards and animal advocates.
