Parents! Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh will be offering a kid-only, valentines-themed event “Pjs, Paws & Popcorn!” on Friday, February 18th from 5:30-8:30 pm. The kids will make valentines for some of the adoptable animals in the shelter, meet an animal guest, and then enjoy a G or PG rated movie with popcorn. Drop the kids off in their favorite PJ’s along with a sleeping bag or blanket, and we’ll provide the rest!

Other notes:   

• Allergens: We do our best to make our programming a safe and inclusive space, but be advised that there may be allergens present on our facility (like pollen, animal dander, and nuts). We will provide popcorn, but any participant with a food-related allergy concern is welcome to bring their own alternative snack.  

• COVID Protocol: The safety of our community, patrons, and staff are very important to us, so we have a COVID safety protocol in place. Our safety protocol is guided by recommendations from the CDC and includes:  

• Masks to be worn at all times by everyone on the property (children, parents, staff) except when eating popcorn during the movie. 
• Proper social distancing will be observed when applicable 
• Registration is limited to 20 children per session 
• Staff will ensure proper and frequent sanitizing of surfaces and limiting shared materials
