Every spring, hundreds of baby wildlife, some injured and abandoned, arrive at the center. In preparation for the new arrivals, Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh (HARP) will host a Wildlife Baby Shower to help stock up on supplies needed for the busy season ahead.

This fun-filled event is set for Saturday, April 22 (Earth Day) from 10 a.m. to Noon at HARP’s East Side shelter (6926 Hamilton Ave. Pittsburgh 15208). During the celebration, guests can enjoy animal encounters, crafts, snacks and more. Just like a human baby shower, the wildlife shower would not be complete without gifts!

Gifts brought to the Wildlife Baby Shower will help the Wildlife Center meet the many needs of the animals. A complete “gift registry” can be found here and include common items that can be found in your local grocery store like paper towels, canned mixed fruit, and unsalted nuts. Items may be brought to the baby shower or donors may select items from the wish list for delivery to the Wildlife Center.
