9th Annual 24-Hour Spay-a-Thon Sponsored by VEG

Join Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh for our 9th Annual 24-Hour Spay-a-Thon, sponsored by VEG, on September 21–22, 2026.

This annual community initiative brings together veterinarians, veterinary professionals, volunteers and animal welfare partners from across the region for 24 hours of lifesaving work to help reduce pet overpopulation through free spay/neuter services for community cats.

Registration for our annual Spay–a–thon event for local community cats is NOW OPEN.

Join HARP as we work around the clock to provide FREE spay/neuter surgeries, rabies and FVRCP vaccines, flea prevention and ear tips for community cats.

IMPORTANT DETAILS:

• Cats must be in individual traps, covered in a sheet or towel.
• Minimum 5 cats per caregiver, and a maximum of 20 slots per person, per drop off time.
• The caregiver who drops off cats must be the person that registered them.
• One form per person.

Registration has been closed. Confirmed drop-off and pick-up times will be emailed to caregivers on or before September 7, 2026.
