They say good things come to those who wait. For Rue, a 5 year old pit mix who came to Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh in February of 2021, the old saying has finally come true!

Though a sweet, personable dog, Rue had tough luck finding her perfect person and spent a year and eight months living in HARP’s shelters and with foster families. We are so glad to report that her long wait has ended at last! This week, Rue was adopted to be adored as she deserves!

Thanks to the support of our community and animal lovers like you, we are able to give dogs like Rue all the time they need to find a forever family. At HARP, we do not place time limits on an animal’s stay in our care, and provide homeless pets with the love, shelter, and behavioral and medical support they need until they find forever homes.

Thank you for supporting HARP’s mission to protect all homeless pets, no matter how long it takes.
