The countdown to the 2022 Pittsburgh Marathon Weekend and Pittsburgh Pet Walk benefitting HARP has begun and this year we’re looking for the pet with the most Pittsburgh Pride! Three winners will be announced on April 29 and will receive a “Pittsburgh’s Proudest Pet” certificate and a Swag Pack filled with HARP goodies! Good luck!

Now that you’ve voted for Pittsburgh’s Proudest Pet, be sure to join the Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh throughout Marathon weekend (April 29^th – May 1^st) – whether it is our Run for a Reason HARP Charity Running team or the Bruster’s Real Ice Cream Pittsburgh Pet Walk benefitting HARP, there is something for everyone in the family!

The Run for a Reason program allows us to connect with a community that shares our vision of ending animal abuse, suffering, and homelessness. Our team members become advocates for animals throughout the year and their fundraising efforts allow us to provide all aspects of care to abandoned, neglected, and injured animals while also educating communities about humane care and positive interactions with all animals, both domestic and wild.

Their dedication to our cause pushes them to succeed not only in their training, but also in making a difference for all animals while raising awareness.

Each step forward they take is a step toward the love and care our animals need and deserve.

When you run for Humane Animal Rescue, you’ll be running for their rescue.

Why should humans have all the fun?

Pets can join in the Marathon weekend fun by participating in the Bruster’s Real Ice Cream Pittsburgh Pet Walk. The one-mile pet walk will take place at Point State Park and all proceeds will benefit Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh.
