In recent weeks, Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh has witnessed a deeply troubling rise in pet abandonment—animals left outside our shelters without warning, without support, and often without even a name. These videos are difficult to watch, but they are real. They capture what we see far too often: frightened dogs left behind, confused and alone, with no one coming back. We’re sharing this footage not to shock, but to shine a light on a crisis unfolding right here in our community—and to ask for your help. Every animal in these videos deserves a second chance.
