Junior Rehabber Corps 2024

Have you ever wanted to explore a career working with animals or helping protect wildlife? Join our Junior Rehabber Corps (JRC), a hands-on teen career exploration program, that focuses on topics such as wildlife rehabilitation, conservation, animal husbandry, careers, research, wildlife biology, and more!  Classes include animal ambassador appearances, guest speakers from professionals in the field, hands-on activities, digital resources, interconnected lessons, and more.

There are two different sessions to choose from, both having their unique topics. Teens are welcome to sign up for one or both sessions! Both sessions will take place Monday-Friday, from 9:30 am-2:30 pm.

Junior Rehabber Corps takes an in-depth look at our native PA wildlife, how we help that wildlife at our rehabilitation center, and careers in conservation around the world.  Students will gain the tools to help them make a difference in their community and grow as environmental stewards and animal advocates.

JRC: Citizen Science Focus is a hands-on program designed to inspire teens to take conservation into their own hands! We will spend the week exploring the world around us and contributing to real-world science as we do it. You can expect special guests, interactive projects, and activities inside and outside the classroom. You provide the curiosity, and we’ll provide the rest!

*What is Citizen Science? Whether counting fireflies or identifying birds, there are dozens of different projects in which everyday people can make observations and contribute their findings to help scientists impact the natural world.
