Lyla is a beautiful 6-year-old German Shepherd with a gentle soul and a lot of love to give—but it takes time for her to feel safe enough to show it. She’s had a tough start, and it’s left her with some anxiety and a deep fear of strangers. Because of this, Lyla is looking for a special home with someone who has experience with the breed and understands that trust isn’t instant—it’s earned with patience, consistency, and love. We are requiring breed experience for adoption. She’s not a fan of other dogs and will need to be the only pet in the home. Lyla also has some medical needs that we’ll be happy to discuss in more detail. Once she opens up, Lyla’s true personality begins to shine. She’s incredibly smart, a little mischievous, and surprisingly affectionate. Whether she’s showing off her problem-solving skills or sneaking in close for some cuddles, Lyla will remind you why German Shepherds are so special. Thank you for your interest in adoption! We are open to process adoptions on a walk-in basis Tuesday – Friday from Noon to 6 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday, adoptions are from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
