Join Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh for Fall in Love with Fostering, a special Valentine’s Foster Recruitment Open House designed to help you learn how fostering saves lives across our community.

This free, family-friendly event will introduce you to the many types of foster opportunities available at HARP, from dogs and cats to bunnies and wildlife. The event will place special emphasis on neonatal kitten fostering, one of the most urgent and life-saving foster needs as kitten season approaches.

You do not need prior experience. Just a willingness to open your heart and your home.

Whether you are curious, considering fostering for the first time, or ready to jump in, this open house is the perfect way to learn more and get started.

What to Expect at the Foster Open House

• Meet HARP’s Foster Team and experienced foster parents
• Short, informative presentations on fostering basics and animals most in need
• Interactive information stations for dogs, cats, kittens, bunnies, and more
• Special foster animal guests you may just fall head over paws for
• Valentine’s Day treats, favors, and raffle baskets
• Easy, on-the-spot ways to start or restart your foster application
