Your Sponsorship Helps Rehabilitate Our Native Animals
Sponsor an education ambassador!
Although animals are admitted to the wildlife center with the goal of releasing them back into their native habitats as healthy individuals, Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh’s Wildlife Center is home to a number of education ambassadors. Some of our ambassadors are birds with wing injuries that couldn’t be repaired, some have developmental disorders, or have been permanently injured due to encounters with humans. Luckily, these animals can spend the rest of their lives with us, receiving the enrichment and care they need to live full, happy lives. Many of them are active foster parents to orphaned young that come to our wildlife center – preparing the babies for life in the wild. Plus, they play an important role in educating public on important issues like living with wildlife and protecting our environment!
- $1,500 will provide annual care for one of our education birds, turtles, snake, opossum, or bat,
- $3,000 will provide annual care for Jacob and Davey – Two silver foxes that were purchased illegally as pets and surrendered to our shelter
