DESCRIPTION:Although we successfully unite thousands of animals with new families each year\, our goal is always to keep pets in loving homes that they may have already found. Ellie’s Attic supplies members of our local community with pet supplies\, assisting families that have fallen on hard times and are struggling to keep their families intact. The program’s namesake is Ellie\, a courageous Black Lab mix\, who was surrendered at a shelter in West Virginia because she suffered from a seizure disorder. Ellie was adopted by a Pittsburgh attorney on a farm\, where she was loved by her human and rescued equine friends.

All animals are spayed or neutered\, microchipped\, given vaccinations appropriate for their age at the time of adoption\, and given flea/tick protection. In addition\, dogs 6 months or older are tested for heartworm. Ellie was adopted by a Pittsburgh attorney on a farm\, where she was loved by her human and rescued equine friends.
