This is Jojo! She came to us because her previous owner had some family changes and could no longer keep her. Once she is comfortable with you, she can be sweet and lean into petting (especially on her head!), however she has been keeping to herself and hiding a lot in the shelter. This is not uncommon with some cats as the shelter is an unfamiliar environment. Jojo has been staying in a quiet colony room and she is showing signs of becoming less nervous. This is a positive sign that she will continue to improve with time and patience. We have handouts available on how to continue to work with this sweet senior lady and build her confidence. If you are interested in meeting Jojo she is currently at our North location. Stop by today!
